The Propex Heatsource range represents a gold standard in LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) heating for marine and recreational vehicles. Expertise and Gas Safe Certification
LPG installations on boats require the highest level of technical expertise to ensure safety and compliance with the law. At Marine Heating Solutions, our engineers are not only extensively experienced in marine heating but are also Gas Safe Registered. Every Propex LPG heater installation is carried out to meet current Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) requirements.
Upon completion of an installation or service, we provide official Boat LPG Safety Certificates, which are essential for vessel insurance and BSS examinations. For more technical guidance on LPG safety, you can consult the Gas Safe Register’s guide for boat owners or the official Propex Heatsource Support portal.
Heatsource LPG Air Heaters by Propex
Propex Heatsource are blown air heaters and are fully thermostatically controlled. They can be run on propane and butane. All units are supplied as standard with a solid-state electronic thermostat. The thermostat automatically turns the unit on and off to keep your boat at the desired temperature. Propex Heatsource appliances are fully room-sealed and can be mounted in any part of the vessel. The heaters are designed to be quiet in operation without compromising air throughput and heat output.
– Add On Mains Electric Options
The Heatsource – E options have a built-in electric heating module that can provide 500w, 1kw, or 2kw. This is very useful for boats with a home mooring with a main electric hook-up, or to use surplus solar energy. If you have a backup generator, it can also get you out of trouble if you have accidentally run out of gas. The fan speed is automatically adjusted for each power level to ensure maximum efficiency. When running on the low 500w setting, the motor noise is kept to a minimum, making it ideal for nighttime running. The heater comes with a mains cable with a wall plug.
