The Propex Malaga 5 is a high-performance LPG water storage heater specifically designed for the marine and motorhome markets. Offering efficient hot water delivery with optional dual-fuel capability, it provides a reliable solution for showering and washing in off-grid environments.
Propex Malaga 5: High-Efficiency Water Heating
The Malaga 5 features a 13-litre internal storage tank that heats water to 70°C. To maximise utility, the system automatically mixes this with cold water to provide domestic hot water at approximately 42°C, delivering significantly more than 13 litres of usable water per cycle.
For increased versatility, the Malaga 5E version includes an integrated 750-watt electric heating element. This dual-fuel design allows the gas burner and electric element to work independently or together for rapid recovery times. The electric module is particularly advantageous for boats with shore power hook-ups or large solar arrays, allowing you to conserve gas while utilising available electrical energy.

Installing a pressurised LPG water heater on a vessel requires precise technical knowledge to ensure safety and system longevity. Our Gas Safe Registered engineers are experts in Propex Malaga 5 installations, ensuring that gas connections, water pressure, and flue venting meet Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) standards.
