Morco is a long-standing specialist in LPG heating solutions, providing robust and reliable boilers and water heaters specifically adapted for the marine environment. Their products are synonymous with efficiency and are a common fixture in residential narrowboats, widebeams, and larger cruisers.
Modern Safety: Room Sealed Technology
In compliance with current gas safety regulations, all new Morco installations on boats must be room-sealed. This means the combustion process is completely isolated from the cabin atmosphere, drawing air from and venting exhaust to the outside. This eliminates the risks associated with older open-flue models.
Key Morco models include:
- EUP11RS Water Heater: A 11-litre room-sealed instantaneous water heater designed for high-efficiency hot water delivery.
- GB24 & GB30 Combi Boilers: Powerful 24kW and 30kW units that provide both instantaneous hot water and central heating for larger vessels.
Crucial Installation Requirements
Because Morco appliances are high-output units (rated at 20kW and above), they have specific fuel and space requirements:
- Gas Supply: These appliances typically require 19kg or 47kg Propane cylinders to ensure optimal performance.
- Narrowboat Constraints: Since many inland waterway boats cannot accommodate these larger cylinders, it is essential to consult with a specialist before purchase. If your boat is limited to 3.9kg or 6kg cylinders, we can discuss alternative solutions to meet your needs.
