The Dickinson Pacific is a mid-sized diesel galley range designed for boats between 30 and 40 feet. It combines a large cooking surface and oven with powerful cabin heating, making it a highly efficient all-in-one solution for the marine environment.
Dickinson Pacific: Versatile Diesel Cooking and Heating
The Dickinson Pacific is engineered to provide a robust heat output of 1.9 kW to 4.8 kW while doubling as a fully functional cooker and oven. By serving two roles, it saves valuable galley space and eliminates the need for a separate stove. Its fuel efficiency is outstanding, consuming just 0.2 to 0.5 litres of diesel per hour. Built with high-grade stainless steel, the Pacific is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of life on the water, providing the “dry heat” necessary to eliminate cabin moisture and condensation.
Technical features include a 12V draft assist fan for reliable start-ups and optimal combustion on high fire. For those requiring a more integrated system, the Pacific offers a heating coil option that can supply up to 2kW of water heating for a calorifier or a central heating radiator. For safety and performance, a permanent fresh air vent is required in the cabin, and a barometric damper is recommended for installations with chimneys 6ft or longer. Sailboat installations should ensure the unit faces fore or aft to account for the vessel’s movement.
