Dickinson Antarctic: Robust Heating with Enhanced Hot Water Options
The Dickinson Antarctic is a standout choice for vessels between 30 and 45 feet. Delivering a consistent heat output of 1.9 kW to 4.8 kW, it provides the “dry heat” essential for moisture control in marine environments. While similar in output to the Alaska, the Antarctic is distinguished by its ability to house a larger double-turn hot water coil, which can provide up to 2kW of water heating—enough to supply a radiator or a large calorifier. This makes it an incredibly versatile appliance for integrated boat heating systems.
Constructed from high-grade stainless steel with a classic viewing window, the Antarctic is built to last. It includes a 12V draft assist fan for easy start-up and reliable operation on high fire. For installations with a chimney longer than 6ft, we highly recommend the use of a barometric damper to maintain a stable draft. Like all Dickinson diesel appliances, the fuel valve can be recalibrated for kerosene if required. To ensure safety, a permanent fresh air vent must be installed in the cabin alongside the stove.
