Dickinson Newport: Compact Bulkhead Diesel Heating
The Dickinson Newport delivers a heat output range of 1.9kW to 4.8kW, making it a powerful choice for its size. It consumes between 0.2 and 0.5 litres of diesel per hour, offering a clean-burning alternative to traditional solid fuel stoves. A unique feature of the Newport is its integrated 12v draft assist fan, which is used during start-up and to enhance performance on high fire settings. For those seeking domestic hot water, the unit can be equipped with an optional 1-turn hot water coil, providing approximately 1kW of water heating capacity.
Professional Installation and Technical Requirements
To operate safely and efficiently, the Newport requires a specific flue configuration—ideally a 6ft straight run (minimum 4ft, maximum 8ft) to maintain a consistent natural draft. Our OFTEC-trained engineers specialize in Dickinson diesel stove installations, ensuring that bulkhead mounting is secure and complies with Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) fire safety standards.

Custom Kits and Safety Certification
The Newport is available as a complete Narrowboat Stove Kit, which includes the stove, a stainless steel flue kit, wall liners, fuel line components, a fire valve, and a professional diesel appliance safety certificate.
