Specifically designed for compact living—including narrowboats, glamping pods, and small studios—the Gentoo model provides a comfortable 4.3 kW of heat. This “Generation 2” version features a redesigned front-loading firebox and advanced air controls, ensuring it meets the stringent emission requirements for modern eco-friendly heating.

The Gentoo achieves an impressive 81.8% efficiency, making it a “wood-burning rocket” that provides maximum warmth from every log. Specifically designed for compact living, the Gentoo features a redesigned front-loading firebox and advanced air control. As an Ecodesign-compliant stove, it significantly reduces particulate emissions, which is essential for responsible boating and urban installations. The stove comes standard with a stainless steel top plate, perfect for boiling a kettle or simmering a stew. For those who want more versatility, optional “food tubes” can be inserted into the rear aperture, allowing for off-grid baking while the cabin warms up.

Penguin Boat Stoves are made to order. Depending on the time of year, waiting times for delivery can be around 2 to 4 weeks approximately. Please ensure that you are prepared to wait for your stove to be custom-made. The manufacturing process begins when we receive the order. Therefore, your order cannot be amended, cancelled, or returned as unwanted once you have paid for it.
