MIG Welding

MIG welding, also known as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), is a versatile welding process that utilizes a continuous wire electrode and a shielding gas to create strong and durable welds. Our team of welders is skilled in MIG welding and possesses the expertise to handle non-structural welding repairs for inland waterway boats.

Non-Structural Welding Repairs Above The Waterline

We specialize in non-structural mobile welding repairs above the waterline, ensuring that your boat remains in optimal condition. From fixing minor damages to carrying out precise repairs, we have the tools and knowledge to complete the job efficiently and effectively. We do not work near or below the waterline. The service is not suitable for hull repairs and over-plating.

Our Services

Crack and Hole Repairs

Our skilled welders have the expertise to repair cracks and holes in the steel hull of your boat Through our meticulous techniques, we ensure that the repaired areas are strong, secure, and blend seamlessly with the surrounding structure.

Patching and Plate Replacement

We offer patching and plate replacement services. By carefully matching the level of the existing steel, we can seamlessly integrate new patches or plates, restoring the integrity of your boat’s structure. We will level the area we have repaired and apply a coat of rust protection.

Locations We Can Carry Out Welding Work On Boats

Please note that inland waterway navigation authorities do not allow welding work to be carried out from the towpath or their land. We can only work from private land, boatyard,s and marinas, with the permission of the owner. We require a well-maintained 16amp power supply. Some repairs with thin metals can be done from a standard 13amp household socket.
